he Round Table conference in The Hague on the future of Indonesia has ended. The leader of the Republican delegation at this conference, Mohammad Hatta, flies back to Indonesia from Schiphol airport by KLM plane. Travelling with him is a.o. the Indonesian minister of Foreign Affairs, dr. Ali Sastroamidjojo. He speaks to the Dutch press at Schiphol airport before he leaves. He is being send-off by the minister of Oversea Territories, J.H. van Maarseveen, the socialist leader Koos Vorrink and KLM-manager Albert Plesman. SHOTS: - A row of cars with motor escort arrives at the airport and passes a station and a control tower; - Hatta gets out, with his wife; shakes hands and enters the waiting room(?); - int. waiting room: journalist surround Hatta and take notes; Hatta and Vorrink eat a sandwich en speak to eachother; Plesman speaks to Sastroamidjojo; - Hatta says goodbye at the foot of the plane staircase and boards the plane; airplane takes off; 00:21 Vorrink (right): Hatta (middle); 00:26 Plesman (left); Sastroamidjojo (right); 00:29 Van Maarseveen (second to the right).
