Anti-alcohol drama based on a popular series about the clever and sporty hero Frank Merriwell.
Anti-alcohol drama based on a popular series about the clever and sporty hero Frank Merriwell. In a small town in Arizona, Merriwel buys a mine from the seedy George Worthington. The locals drink quite a lot, and people want to keep things that way. Merriwell is being watched by an accomplice of Worthington, named Carl Raymonds. A girl, Triss, who wants to help her father quit drinking, asks Merriwell for help. Frank, who has since met an old friend, Bart Hodge, accompanies him and his "black" servant to a bar. Disguised as Carrie Nation (a woman who travels around within axe in her campaign against drinking), Frank scares away the people in the bar. Triss is kidnapped and taken to a house, where she is guarded by an old woman who is a drinker. Frank comes to save Triss, once again disguised as a woman, this time as the woman assigned to guard Triss. He has fallen in love with Triss, who returns his affections when everything ends well.
